Spendy — Smart Finance App
Spendy helps people budget across multiple wallets and stay motivated with points, badges and challenges. I built the backend: the Supabase database, row-level security, gamification logic and statistics.

The challenge
Most people don't fail at budgeting for lack of an app. They fail because tracking is scattered, saving goals are vague and nothing keeps them consistent.
Spendy needed a backend that could model personal and shared money across many wallets, keep that data locked down, and reward good habits so users keep coming back.
What I built
I designed the PostgreSQL schema on Supabase for wallets, income, expenses, monthly budgets and financial goals, so one person can run separate wallets for personal, family, business or savings money.
Every table is protected with row-level security policies, so financial data is only ever visible to the people who should see it.
I built the gamification logic that awards points and badges for sticking to budgets, saving regularly and logging expenses, along with custom challenges, and the statistics layer that rolls income, expenses and budgets up by month and by year for the app's charts.
Key features I delivered
- PostgreSQL schema for multiple wallets, budgets and financial goals
- Row-level security policies across the database
- Points, badges and custom challenge logic
- Monthly and yearly statistics for income, expenses and budgets

Outcome
The backend gives Spendy a secure foundation for multi-wallet budgeting, plus the rewards and insights that help users build consistent money habits.
