Vigo — Women's Fitness App

Most fitness apps treat everyone the same. Women looking for help with training, nutrition and motivation get generic routines, little feedback on what they eat, and few reasons to keep coming back.

Vigo set out to make the plan feel personal from the first screen, and to make logging food so effortless that people actually keep doing it.

I built the Flutter app end to end: onboarding that captures goals and preferences, daily workout plans that adapt as progress comes in, goal-based calorie tracking that balances food eaten against calories burned, personalised diet plans with recipes and portion guidance, and progress charts with motivational reminders.

Food logging is where most people give up, so the app offers two AI shortcuts. In the app, users photograph or describe a meal and OpenAI estimates its calories, protein, fat and carbs. Outside the app, the same analysis runs through a WhatsApp bot I built with N8N: send a photo or a line of text, get the macros straight back.

On the backend I designed the Supabase schema with authentication and row-level security so every user's health data stays private, with N8N handling background processing. Paid plans run on RevenueCat, which takes care of purchases, subscription validation and entitlements across platforms.

Vigo shipped as a production mobile app with in-app subscriptions. Personalised plans, near-instant AI meal logging (in the app or on WhatsApp) and visible progress give users a reason to open it every day.
