SquaDD — Local & Global Social App

Social apps tend to pick a side: global networks where your neighbourhood gets lost, or local groups with no reach beyond them. Businesses and sellers end up juggling separate tools for promotion, events and selling.

SquaDD set out to put all of it in one app, where what you see depends on where you are.

I built posting and the personalised feed, and a unified search that finds posts, people, groups, events, business pages and marketplace listings with smart filters and keyword matching.

I also built the location layer that makes SquaDD different: posts, events, groups and products can be filtered by distance, from the neighbourhood up to regional and global, alongside privacy settings that let users control who sees what.

On the commerce side I built the neighbourhood marketplace, where sellers list items for free or at a fixed price and can keep them visible only to nearby buyers, and branded business pages where companies post updates, promote offers and sell products.

Users can move from their own street to the whole world in a single feed, and local businesses get a place to be discovered by the people closest to them.
